(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Theatre is one of many programs at the Ranch facing challenges due to COVID-19.

Drama teacher Roxanne Caravan said, “We are doing our best to go with the flow and still complete fun and creative projects with the limitations that we have.”

Theatre Mustangs are currently rehearsing for their virtual Cabaret Show on Friday, March 5. It will feature musical theatre pieces, original monologues, and more.

In-school clubs and performances have not been able to resume; however, online workshops taught by professional artists and Broadway performers have been offered.

“It has been a ‘mix’ as to how theatre students have been adjusting,” said Caravan.

Instead of having specific theatre classes, Mustangs are mixed throughout the class. This can be challenging from both a teaching and learning perspective.
