(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – With college application deadlines approaching, many senior Mustangs should start getting letters of recommendation.
“A letter of recommendation not only communicates to a college or employer what kind of person the candidate is but it also shows their potential to succeed further,” explained LRHS college and career counsellor Ricardo Acevedo.

Mustangs should inquire about getting a letter from someone like their employer or teacher.
“I want a letter of recommendation so that colleges can get an insight as to what type of student I am,” said senior Angelina Archacki.
Journalism teacher Tom Honsa expressed, “I try to personalize every letter, so it demonstrates the unique talents and advantages of each individual. This way, the college has a more complete view of a student’s abilities and personality.”
According to the website IvyWise, letters of recommendation help provide a more complete picture of the applicant.
“Letters of recommendation help round out your applicant profile. They provide insight into what you are like as a student and person from the perspective of someone who has worked closely with you during your high school career. “
