(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- January 25 – 31, is the Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers Week across America.

Basketball teams from across the state, including the Mustangs, will be raising money and awareness for the American Cancer Society (ACS).

Varsity coach Jeremy Schiller and other coaches at the Ranch and Braden River High School (BRHS) will be dressed up in suits and sneakers to support the cause.

They will be going head-to-head to see who can raise the most money.

The American Cancer Society stated, “For over 25 years, the Coaches vs. Cancer program, in collaboration with the National Association of Basketball Coaches, has united coaches and fans nationwide to help the American Cancer Society defeat a common enemy – cancer.”

By the end of the week, the top fundraising college and high school team in the nation will be recognized as Suits and Sneakers Week national champions.

Friday, Jan. 29 is senior night for the boys’ basketball team.
