(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The LRHS girls’ varsity basketball team is off to a great 2020-21 with a 13-2 record.

With a Max Preps rank of 42nd in the state and 10th in division 7A, the Lady Mustangs seem a force to be reckoned with.

Some notable wins include a 47-45 overtime victory against Riverview Sarasota on Saturday, Dec. 12 and a 55-46 overtime victory over Palmetto on Thursday, Dec. 3.

Senior Jordan Brown stated, “I am beyond proud of my teammates for coming together the way they have. If we keep playing with determination, we will have a good chance for a district title.”

Senior Taylor Young added, “I couldn’t think of a better group of girls to finish out the season with and hopefully take the district title”.

The Mustangs’ next home game is against Hardee at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
