(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – After 17 years of teaching at LRHS, physical education teacher and HOSA Future Healthcare Providers adviser Carol Lidey will be retiring.

Lidey started working at the Ranch in 2004 and will be retiring Friday.

“I found that the most rewarding aspect of my job was the 2000 Mustangs on campus. I have never dreaded coming to work and each day was as good as the last,” said Lidey.

HOSA president junior Julia Felice said, “Lidey has always had a positive impact on her students and the HOSA chapter. She is the most understanding, selfless, and a compassionate teacher and the best memories I have at the Ranch are with Lidey.”

As she closes out her chapter at the Ranch, Lidey passed on this advice, “Whatever your title is, make the person you are face to face with feel like the only person in the world.”
