(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Students returning to LRHS Wednesday, Jan. 6 may notice a slightly different bell schedule.
The end of hybrid classes and the return of formerly online students have prompted the administration to make a few adjustments.
“With the elimination of the hybrid modality we are going to see a significant increase in the number of students on campus in second semester,” said LRHS assistant principal Michael Staker. “Therefore, the four overlapping lunch schedule is no longer an option and we are going to return to our skinny schedule from last year.”

Staker said there have been some slight adjustments to the lunch schedule, too. All students will report to fourth period Wednesday before going to lunch.

Second semester schedule changes have forced homeroom adjustments, too. All Mustangs will start the day in homeroom. Homeroom reminders will be posted around campus, or Mustangs can access their homeroom through this QR code –
LRHS Principal Dustin Dahlquist reminded all Mustangs that facemasks, social distancing and all other relevant health precautions remain in effect on campus. The school cafeteria features plexiglass dividers at every seat and Dahlquist said there is still ample lunch seating in outdoor areas around the cafeteria.
