(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS’s Esports team won their first round of the Play VS Rocket League playoffs.

They won 4-0 against May River High School in Lufkin, South Carolina on Dec. 12.

“Our team won their first match on Saturday and will be playing every day next week to finish the tournament,” said coach Mark Marron.

The “A” team finished the regular season 20th out of over 400 teams.

The Mustangs will have their next playoff game on Monday, Dec. 14 against Fern Creek High School from Louisville, Kentucky.  There are seven rounds to the Play VS playoff schedule.

In the spring Play VS will be adding sports games FIFA and Madden to their list of competitions.
