(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS received the Florida State Golden and Silver School Awards.
The awards are presented to recognize exceptional schools which promote parent and community engagement in education.
The awards are a culmination of support and hours of work from the LRHS community, including those from parents, staff, Mustangs, athletics, the music department, and office staff.
Student Services Clerk Kari Keech Babcock collected all the LRHS Mustang and volunteer service hours.

Babcock said, “I am extremely excited we got this award; it is a great representation of the community service our Mustangs and parents do. The award is also a great representation of the family-like community we have here at the Ranch.”
The Golden School Award recognizes elementary, secondary, and adult schools with outstanding volunteer programs.
The Silver School Award recognizes secondary schools that provide volunteer services to elementary or other secondary schools.
LRHS assistant principal Jillian Bieber coordinated the awards campaign.
“I am so proud of the way we all worked together to gather this evidence to exemplify the Ranch community,” she said.
LRHS has received both the Silver and Gold school Awards.
