(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) — As first semester ends, LRHS seniors are advised to start applying for scholarships.

Mustangs can qualify for different scholarships by taking honors classes, AP classes, participating in extracurriculars, and more.

Many of these applications do not require an essay or a recommendation.

Senior Angelina Archacki stated, “I have been applying for scholarships early as I do not want to miss the deadline.”

Underclassmen can start working on enhancing their resumes and being involved in the community so when the time comes for them to apply for scholarships they are prepared.

LRHS college and career counselor Ricardo Acevedo said, “Up until junior year, Mustangs should focus primarily on keeping their grades as high as possible, being involved with clubs, and volunteering.”
