The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the world in many ways, but it’s easy to overlook the setback it has caused for gender equality.

With the virtual panel, Girl Up hopes to take a stand against gender-based violence through education.

“We are lucky to have so many dedicated youth representatives that continue to keep Girl Up members in touch with the timely topics arising in our community today,” said Girl Up co-president senior Emma Tulio.

The next meeting will be held at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9.
