Mustang girls 8th in state golf

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS Girls Golf placed eighth in last weekend’s state championships played at Mission Inn Resort, in North Central Florida.

Four girls placed for the Mustangs, sophomores Ashleigh Angelo (74), Lauren Hosier (86), Jessica Kobetitsch (87), and Mia Edgar (89). Par is 72.

 Hosier said, “I loved and had so much fun with this team. I cannot wait to see how far we go next year.”

Angelo placed 16th in the state as an individual.

Edgar said, “It was an amazing opportunity, and I’m honored that I was able to play with and against such an amazing group of girls.”

Kobetitsch said, “It’s so amazing to be able to play in a competitive event with my great team.  This was my second year, and it was just as exciting.  I’m glad I was able to enjoy this experience with my team.”

Among the boys, LRHS junior Tim Williamson finished 19th out of 77 state golfers.
