(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- Mustangs now can recycle more on campus due to the school’s Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) program providing more recycling bins for classrooms.

The JROTC program wants to put a recycling bin in every classroom to maximize the amount of recycling on campus.

Senior JROTC army instructor, Lt. Col. Richard Roller stated, “In an effort to maintain a commitment to recycling, our cadet leaders are determined to increase collection capacity by adding bins to every classroom to continue to grow the LRHS recycling program.”

The JROTC program hopes that with more recycling bins around campus, Mustangs and faculty will take advantage of the opportunity to recycle and help their planet.

Roller said “I believe the lessons we model here at the Ranch are practiced at home. If we encourage and reward recycling here that lesson will carry on to Mustangs at home where true environmental impact will take place.”
