LRHS media center welcomes Mustangs

Zach Fenimore– Mustangs Ahead

The LRHS media center celebrates October.

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Due to COVID-19 many Mustangs may mistakenly believe the school media center is closed. Although patrons do have to maintain social distance, the media center is open 7 a.m. – 2:55 p.m. Monday through Friday.

LRHS media specialist Jill Mullins stated, “We have a great collection of books, both fiction and nonfiction waiting to be read. If Mustangs want to access the LRHS media center they can from their Destiny tile.” (Destiny is an app in Mustangs’ SDMC page)

The media center is a centra  place to go for books, textbooks, research, type, print, study or read. It has many new 2020 publications and is free in comparison to buying a book.

LRHS senior Jordan Heffner stated, “The media center is a quiet environment to get schoolwork done at any time and its very helpful.”

If a book with information a student needs is not available, there are also plenty of computers to research.
