Wikstrom said, “Our lady Mustangs really stepped up this weekend at the 4A District 13 Meet. I’m so impressed with their grit and tenacity despite missing one of our top 5 runners! We are excited to continue on this positive trajectory at the 4A Region 4 Meet this weekend.”

Wikstrom added, “It’s unfortunate that we had to keep one of our top runners out, but we are saving her for states where she will do great.”

The Mustang boys won fourth overall, with their top runner Gavin Laielli clocking a time of 17:09.00.

Another top runner, Owen Catlett, clocked a time of 18:24.85.
