(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – For Mustangs interested in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) now is the time to join. Meetings take place on Microsoft Teams at 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays.

During the meetings Mustangs meet in small groups to discuss topics that they pick out.

“My favorite thing about FCA is the feeling of community and how we all feel like family. I really appreciate and love how the leaders all seem to be focused on your well-being and keeping everyone happy,” said senior Emma Tullio.

There are about 30 members of FCA right now and two FCA representatives that are also part of the club to help teach and guide members.

For now and the foreseeable future, FCA will meet online and not in person due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“This year is different and we are still learning to work with it because we are all meeting online, there is also no food drinks or pairing with people at meeting and discussing in person, we have to learn to do it all online,” said LRHS physical education teacher and FCA adviser Kelly Smith-Williams.

“You don’t need to be Christian or even an athlete to join FCA, it’s just a good thing to be in,” said Smith-Williams.
