(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The U.S. Department of Education is inviting Mustangs to free federal student aid workshops every Tuesday for the next two months from 6-8 p.m.

These workshops are to help Mustangs fill out the Free Application for Federal Aid (FAFSA) for college.

They will be conducted via ZOOM to accommodate for social distancing and are hosted by the School District of Manatee County.

A U.S. Department of Education flayer stated, “This workshop will help students receive one on one assistance with filling out the FAFSA. The FAFSA allows students to see how much in grants and scholarships they will qualify for to help pay for college.”

Each year, more than $2 billion of financial aid goes unclaimed and by filling out the FAFSA, this money can go to any eligible student.

The FAFSA can also help Mustangs figure out exactly how much financial aid they qualify for, including both need-based and non-need-based aid.

To sign up for one of the many online workshops contact the College and Career Advisor Ricardo Avecedo.

When attending an online workshop, be sure to have: Social Security Number, driver license number, 2017 federal income tax return, Business and farm record.
