(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS Student Government Association (SGA) is preparing for this year’s spirit week, scheduled to take place Oct. 26-30.

Students will have the ability to show their school spirit by dressing up each day of the week according to the theme for the corresponding day.

Monday will be class color day, and students can dress out in the color that is assigned to their grade level. Freshmen are yellow, sophomores are purple, juniors are pink, seniors are blue, and staff is orange.

Tuesday is decades day, and each class has been assigned a different decade to represent. Freshmen are the 70s, sophomores are the 80s, juniors are the 90s, seniors are the 2000s, and staff are the 60s.

Wednesday is sports day. Students and staff can dress up in their favorite college of professional team attire or in gear from their favorite sport.

Thursday is generation day. Students and staff can dress up according to their corresponding generation. Freshmen and sophomores are infants, juniors are adults, and seniors are the elderly.

Friday will be spirit day, and LRHS students and staff are encouraged to show up in their best school spirit, sporting the school colors of green, silver, white, and black. There will also be a football game Friday evening, where homecoming court will be announced at halftime.

“Even though Friday’s theme is spirit day, the game that evening will be a pink out,” SGA adviser Delaney Riggins said.
