(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- Joining LRHS is the new and upcoming club, Florida Future Educators of America (FFEA).

This club will give Mustangs an opportunity to explore career options in education and help them learn about teaching possibilities.

Leading the club is LRHS fine arts teacher Rebekah Lester.

“This exciting new club is for Mustangs who are interested in exploring a possible career in teaching,” she said.

Not only is this club an opportunity to learn more about careers within education, but a chance to meet new people.

“This club is a great way to make new friends and we are going to fully take advantage of the opportunities presented to form friendships,” said sophomore Hannah Barrineau.

The club will host meetings through Microsoft Teams and communicate through Remind.

Barrineau explained that a lot is undetermined, and the club is still evolving, but club members will be encouraged to reach out for things like projects to do on their own or with other members.

The members will also get to experience special conferences with guest speakers and working to organize competitions.

To join, Mustangs must fill out an application and turn it in by Thursday, Oct. 9.

For more information students can join the remind at @ffealrhs, email Lester at lesterr@manateeschools.net, or stop by her room 517.
