Senior parking spot painting is an LRHS tradition

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The LRHS Class of 2021 is now able to paint their senior parking spots.

On Monday, October 12, from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. seniors will be allowed to paint their spots.

All designs must be submitted to LRHS math teacher and senior class adviser Ann Fleury by Friday, October 8 for approval.

There will be a five-dollar fee for seniors wanting to paint their parking spots and all designs must be approved by Fleury.

The seniors’ first and last names and their parking spot numbers must be visible on their designs for them to be accepted.

The school will provide Mustangs with water and garbage bags, but seniors need to bring the following: masks, brooms, paintbrushes, paint rollers and extension rods for the rollers, paint trays, tape, and a chair.

It is recommended that seniors wishing to paint their parking spots use exterior or deck paint, which can be found at Walmart, Lowe’s, Ace Hardware, and Home Depot.

On the Class of 2021 Schoology group, Fleury stated, “Although this an outside event, Mustangs must still social distance and wear a mask.”
