Maddie Forman and Gage Gongas– Mustangs Ahead

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- This week Mustangs were asked, “How have you been adjusting to the new school year?”
Senior Avery Antonelli said, “I have not found it hard to adjust to school during a pandemic even with me being new to the school itself. The teachers have been super helpful with showing me how everything works and the new schedule.”
Junior Vincent Redden shared, “This school year has been very different. Luckily, the end of last year helped me prepare for this one as I now have experience with on-line school. Despite this, I am ready for a sense of normalcy again.”
Over quarantine, the Manatee County School District came up with three learning options: full online, hybrid, and in school full time.

Sophomore Quinn Brown stated, “It has been very different, but I have been adjusting by accepting and getting used to all the new procedures put in place. I know these rules will be worth it later if they keep everyone safe.”
Many of these new procedures include having Mustangs and faculty wear masks, socially distance, and follow specific routes to get from one place to another.
Freshman Brody Folkers had a similar mindset as Brown.
Folkers expressed, “I have been adjusting well to high school so far and all the new rules established. It has been hard to balance football and a completely new school schedule, but I am finally starting to get into a routine.”
