LRHS cafeteria staff use safe food practices.

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) -LRHS is now providing free breakfast and lunch for all Mustangs age 18 and under each day of the school week.

Mustangs who attend daily class in-person will be provided with a breakfast each morning and will receive a lunch during their regularly scheduled lunchtimes.

Hybrid students will receive free breakfast and lunch on the days that they attend in-person and will be supplied with take-home meals for the days they are not on-campus.

LRHS cafeteria manager Amanda Farelly said, “Hybrid A Mustangs should pick up their meals on Tuesday’s at 2:15 – 2:30 p.m. just outside the cafeteria at one of the outdoor tables. Hybrid B Mustangs should do the same on Friday’s in the same location at the same time.”

E-Learning Mustangs can pick up their weeks’ worth of meals on Monday’s during curbside distribution between 9:30-10:30 a.m. at any school in the district including the Ranch.

Manatee county marketing and communications coordinator Jessica Anderson added, “This program will allow the School District of Manatee County’s Food and Nutrition Services to serve free meals to all children into the fall months helping to ensure that children have access to nutritious food as Manatee county recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic.”
