The Southeast StellarXplorers Qualification is an annual competition designed to test the competitor’s knowledge and ability to use a simulation software called System Took Kit and be tested on an online textbook as a curriculum supplement.

This was the first year the club participated in this competition, so they were not expecting to get as far as they did and were very excited to have done so well.

Club adviser and physics teacher Daniel Goodman said, “I am so proud of what the team did this year and am hopeful that with returning members and new recruits that next year we will do even better!”

While they will not qualify for semifinals they have been announced as in the top third of all 213 teams who participated in StellarXplorers VI.

LRHS senior and club member William Flood said, “Our high scores from this season has made me more excited and motivated for the next competition season than I otherwise would have been.”
