(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – To help stay active during these times of social distancing, LRHS physical education teacher Maggie Sharrer conducted a 30-day active challenge among her coworkers.

The goal of this challenge was to move three miles a day for at least 30 days.

“I’m so proud of our 7-person team: Laura Anderson, Kristine Dittman, Carol Lidey, Tim Frasier, Raquel Klammer, Terri Mcallister, Donna Thomas, and myself,” said Sharrer.  The team consists of LRHS faculty and staff members.

Together, the team walked a total of 800 miles and throughout theses 30 days, the team discovered a new appreciation for the outdoors and even helped police find a suspect’s car.

Sharrer stated that the best part about this challenge was that, “75 percent of our team brought someone on their exercise adventure daily- transforming more lives than just our employees.”
