ffa logo(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS’s FFA chapter was one of 34 chapters across Florida to receive the “Florida’s Finest” award.

The Florida Future Farmers of America, a premier youth organization with over 300,000 middle and high school members, chose the recipients.

LRHS FFA adviser Janyel Taylor said the recognition is a school tradition.

“We have been upholding this prestigious award since 2014,” she said.  “Our FFA Officers and committee members work hard to develop activities and events that focus on growing leaders, building communities, and strengthening agriculture.”

The chapters were chosen based on their completion of the National Chapter Award program. Each recipient was said to have excelled in the areas of growing leaders, building communities, and strengthening agriculture work.

Each chapter will be recognized in the second session of the 2020 FFA celebration.

Due to the extreme circumstances, the thousands of members, advisors, administrators, alumni, parents, and industry partners will join an online celebration.

During the celebration, participants will get to experience motivational speakers and virtual awards.
