Joey Cotton – Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Despite the current pandemic, Advanced Placement (AP) exams are quickly approaching with the end of the school year on the horizon.
Due to Covid-19 and encouraged social distancing, AP exams will be offered virtually from May 11-22.
The College Board, who creates AP exams, has offered easily accessible practice tests and informational videos on their website, as well as the schedule for upcoming exams.
LRHS senior Jack Beatenhead said, “I’m using the tools provided by College Board, as well as studying with friends in order to help prepare for my exams.”
Dates and times related to testing can be found under “Corona Virus Updates” on the College Board website, where a chart is configured specifying times, dates, and lengths of exams in all subjects.
In response to the quickly approaching AP exams, many Mustangs are preparing themselves to do well on their tests.
“To prepare for the AP exam I have been using Quizlet and Khan Academy to prepare and reviewing content on a daily basis,” said senior Schuyler Young.
On top of preparing for their exams, Mustangs are also managing the stress that comes with having multiple exams.
Senior Zach Busby said, “I’m looking over my notes for each of my classes and taking it one test at a time to reduce stress.”
