2019-01-15-10-15-50-1200x800 (400x267)(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced that public schools in the state of Florida will continue distance learning for the remainder of this school year. That means public school campuses across Florida will remain closed to students for the rest of the the 2019-2020 academic year.

In Manatee County, our students will complete this school year using online instruction or what we call eLearning. During the past month, we have established and implemented a successful eLearning program that has seen 96 percent of our students engage in online learning through our Schoology platform. Our teachers and support staff are committed to helping our students finish this school year on a strong note regardless of the circumstances.

Although we realize this presents certain hardships for many, this move is being made to ultimately protect the health and welfare of our students, families and community.
