(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- LRHS chorus has been staying active on Instagram to stay connected during Covid-19.

One thing that LRHS Chorus has been doing is Spotlight Saturday. Each week, students can directly message the LRHS Chorus account a recording of themselves performing any song of their choice.

They also get a chance to talk about how much the chorus program means to them.

Students wishing to be showcased need to have their recording sent in by midnight on Fridays.

Mikaela Haught was recently showcased on the Instagram page.

“It was pretty cool seeing my face up there to be honest,” said Haught, “I love receiving feedback from people and how they enjoy listening.”

Haught said that she has picked up a lot of tricks on keeping her voice in tune during quarantine.

“Being a singer, I’ve picked up many tricks to keep my voice in tune and in check,” said Haught. “Drinking hot liquids, lots of water, and singing all the time really helps.”

Haught also said that she is looking forward to reconnecting with friends.

“I am looking forward to seeing all my friends and getting to sing and create with them again.”
