sports logo(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- Due to the spread of Covid-19, all sports at the Ranch have been suspended, including Boy’s Lacrosse.

The Boy’s Lacrosse team was shaping up to have one of their best seasons yet and were very excited to play in the upcoming season.

The team worked very hard during the season and being forced to stop was very tough on all the players. The team was 3-3 and had not yet started district play.

Senior Ben Dunn said, “The Corona Virus made a huge impact on our season and cut it short. We were only able to play six games of the season, but I am happy that I was able to play at least those few games with my friends as it is my final year playing.”

The seniors on the team were undoubtedly hit the hardest, as this was their final season for high school and for some, their final season ever. However, they were at least able to play some of their games.

Sophomore Elijah Stobaugh said, “It was very disappointing to have waited and prepped all year just for the season to be cancelled before it even began. I feel like this could have been one of the best seasons ever and I know that all of us on the team were really looking forward to competing in the district championship.”
