Seniors face particular fourth quarter issues

Seniors(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- As the end of the year approaches, LRHS seniors are preparing for graduation.

Seniors need 24 credits to graduate, as well as other specific required courses, such as an online class.

“Talk to your counselors and make sure you have all your credits in order to graduate,” advised senior Kira Littlejohn.

Seniors also have the opportunity to be exempt for their final exams. In order to be exempt, seniors will need to get an 80 percent or higher in both third and fourth quarters.

“I have been turning in my homework and paying attention in class in order to keep my grades up,” said senior Emma Kirby.

In addition to focusing on academics, many seniors are finishing up community service hours for the Bright Future’s Scholarship.

“I have been volunteering and making sure I reach the community hour goal of 100 hours,” said Kirby

As the year comes to a close, many seniors are focused on wrapping up the year and moving on into college or universities.

“I am looking forward to graduation and moving on into university,” said Littlejohn. “This year has gone by so fast and I am excited for what the future will hold.”
