LRHS color guard prepares for state competition

NEWS(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- On Mar. 7, the LRHS Winter Guard competed at the Florida Federation of Color Guards Circuit (FFCC) regional competition at Braden River High School.

The group came in second place in the Scholastic Triple A category, earning a score of 66.03. The category had 17 groups in it and is split up into two rounds.

Sophomore member Paige Thompson said, “I am very proud of how hard we have worked together as a team and I am excited for our next performance.”

The group will continue practicing and working hard in preparation for the upcoming FFCC State Championships in Daytona later in Mar.

The teams next competition is the FFCC Regional Competition on Mar.13, at Cypress Creek High School.
