sports logo(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The LRHS girls varsity flag football team won their last game against Sebring High School with a score of 26-0, on March 6.

Head coach and Drivers Ed teacher Elijah Weaver said, “The varsity team did great and put a lot of effort into the game.”

Weaver also acknowledged star players juniors Saniya Glover and Haylie Vela for their performances.

Sophomore Juliana Defelice said, “Being on the flag football team is like having a second family, I love to be a part of the team and I am always looking forward to it at the end of the day.”

Their next game is at 6 p.m. on March 11 at the Bayshore High School fields against Bayshore Bruins.

Flag football is played between two teams of seven players on an 80-yars-by-40-yard field.   Varsity games last four 12-minute quarters.
