cheer tryout flyer 2020(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS cheerleading program is holding tryouts March 9-12 for the new 2020 – 2021 cheerleading season.

The program is hosting two clinics the week before tryouts.  Students who want to join the program but do not have much cheerleading experience can learn the basics for a small fee of $10. The clinics take place at 4:30 p.m. March 2 and 5 in the LRHS cafeteria.

Teacher’s Aide and Mustang cheerleading coach Sherri Haber said, “I highly recommend that anyone wanting to try out for the upcoming cheerleading season attend the clinics. I will help give people a feel of if this is something that they would want to try.”

After each clinic, at 6 p.m., there will be a 30-minute long parent meeting held in the LRHS cafeteria.

Varsity cheerleader sophomore Alyssa Ucciferri said, “The parent meetings give information on what forms are needed for tryouts, the costs for the season, and some important dates for the season.”

Tryouts will be held from 4:30- 6 p.m. March 9-12 in the LRHS cafeteria. At the tryouts, students will learn a cheer, dance, and jumps that they will perform in front of judges on the final tryout day. The tryout results will be posted shortly after tryouts are finished.
