(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- With current LRHS Key Club officers going off to college next year, this was the first time the club had to elect a completely new board of officers without experience.

The new board will act as role models for members and answers questions about the club. Below are the winners of the 2020-21 officer elections –

President – Anna Huszar

The club president serves as the club’s chief executive officer, responsible for setting and monitoring the goals of the club and running club meetings. The president is also the face of the club.

“After being in the club for only a year I knew I wanted to run for president. My dream for next year is to have all members getting over 50 hours before the summer,” said Huszar.

Vice-President – Abigail McManus

The importance of the office of vice-president can be summarized in one word: service. The vice president serves the president, other club officers, committees and the general membership.

Secretary – Emma Foley

The office of secretary is one of the most demanding and rewarding positions in the organization. The secretary is responsible for taking minutes, keeping records and maintaining all-important files for the club.

Treasurer – Lorenzo Liberti

The club treasurer controls the club’s money, both its collection and disbursement. That person also works together with the club secretary to keep track of which members paid dues.

Liberti said, “I am excited for this upcoming year and job responsibility. I know we will be working as hard as we can to make the club better.”

Webmaster – Lucas Scott

The webmaster is responsible for the operations of the Key Club website. The webmaster ensures that the information for service events and projects are up to date on the website.

Current Webmaster Brooke Mantone said, “I have really high hopes for the new board. They seem very committed to the club and their positions and I know they will do a great job working together and improving the club as a whole.”

Mustangs who are interested in joining Key Club can attend one of the meetings, scheduled for every other Tuesday in room 509. Students can also visit the LRHS Key Club website or contact current Key Club Class Director Faith Kylie Kurtz.
