The Lakewood Loves Animals club uses art to remind Mustangs they can help Australia fire victims.

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- Lakewood Loves Animals (LLA) is raising funds for the wildlife in Australia that has been negatively impacted by recent wildfires.

The fundraiser will run through end March 3. Posters are up around the campus by LLA members to bring notice to their cause.

Members bring jars to all first period teachers to collect any money from students. All jars and money are collected and counted each afternoon.

The class that raises the most money will receive a pizza party from Oak and Stone.

The adviser of LLA, LRHS math teacher Catherine Franek appreciates all Mustangs who donate to this worthy cause and for all the support they have given this club.

LLA member sophomore Mackenzie Sisson said, “I’m excited to participate in this fundraiser, not only is it helping provide relief to the damage done in Australia but there is also a reward for the most money that’s collected.”

For more information, see Franek in room 579.
