free soccer picture.jpeg(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The LRHS Boys’ Varsity Soccer team took a tough loss to Boone High School in the state semifinal. The final score of the game was 2-1.

This was the Mustangs’ second consecutive regional title and will be looking to keep the streak going year after year.

After losing in the district semifinal to Riverview High School, the team got a second chance as a Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) at-large team and made a comeback all the way to state semifinals.

The Mustangs ended the season with a record of 19-1-6. The top scorers this season were senior Jacob Jordan with 19 goals and junior Timothy Sheredy with 10 goals.

The top assistant providers of the team were senior Cade Schwarz and junior Reid Zimmerman, both with four assists. The team ended up 69th in the nation and 29th in the state.
