The team beat Ridge Community High School on Tuesday. The Mustangs scored off a penalty kick in the first 20 minutes of the game and continued to hold the Bolts off until the end of the game.

Ridge Community is ranked 70th in the state and has a record of 15-7-2, while the Mustangs are ranked 36th and have a record of 14-4-2.

The team will now move on to Regional Semi playoffs at 7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 14, away against Plant High School.

Plant has a record of 16-0-2 and are ranked 16th in the state. The Mustangs know they will be in for a challenging game but feel confident.

Senior Heather Jones said, “If we play our best and really communicate and work together, I don’t see why we shouldn’t be able to win on Friday.”
