(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Lakewood’s film and acting club works year-round to make commercials for Lakewood’s school news.
Film and acting is a relatively new club, just entering in its second year at LRHS.
“We have seven actors, two writers, two editors and a camera crew of three people. All of those involved in the club work very hard,” said sophomore secretary Sydney Jamison.
“Film and acting club is a creative outlet for students to expand their writing, acting and editing skills, this way they are allowing themselves to grow in all aspects of film production,” said club adviser and LRHS technology teacher Jessica Pellicone.
“Being a small group, our club has struggled; however, I’m positive we will only get stronger in the coming years as our experience and membership grows,” said sophomore club president Cassidee Calamaras
Currently the club is working on a Valentine’s day skit to play on the morning announcements as an entertaining way to remind students of our Public Display of Affection (PDA) rules this holiday.
Film and acting club meets directly after school every Tuesday and Thursday in room 710. Anyone interested should contact Pellicone.
