Gage Gongas – Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Feb. 5 is National Signing Day for all high school athletes and LRHS had seven students commmit to different colleges in a variety of sports.
Senior football player Shamar Beatty committed to Itasca Community College in Minnesota to continue his football dreams. He said that football started out rough for him in his early high school seasons, but his coaches and his mom supported him and got him to where he is now.
Senior football player Michael Cucci committed to University of South Florida (USF) for football. He is very excited to get to USF to really show what he can do.
Senior runner Mason Ingallinera committed to University of Colorado in Colorado Springs for cross country and track and field. She said that she absolutely loves to run and thanked her trainers for all the years hard work.
Senior swimmer Emily Massengale committed to Lindenwood University in Missouri. She is going to further her swimming career. Massengale thanked her coaches and family for helping her reach her goals.
Senior Track and Field athlete Madeline McNinch committed to Wofford College in South Carolina for track and field. McNinch was excited to be able to sign to Wofford College and thanked her parents and coaches.
Senior softball player Rachel Monroe committed to Murray State University (MSU) in Kentucky to continue her softball career.
“Ever since I started looking into colleges, I knew I wanted to go to MSU. I visited the campus and loved it. I am so grateful for this opportunity,” said Monroe.
Senior golfer Ashlyn Einwachter committed to Belmont Abbey College in North Carolina today.
All these Mustangs said their hard work paid off today and that they are excited to continue the sports they love.
