Gracie Coyne and Maddie Forman – Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – This week we asked LRHS students, “What advice would you give to underclassman?”
Senior Jaden Su stated, “I think that it is important to always be nice to other people because you never know what they could be going through. Being outgoing is important too because you will seem more approachable and make new friends.”
Senior Tayla Rosenthal said, “The most important advice I could give to underclassman is to get involved. Joining clubs and trying a sport could really benefit you. I started Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) and I have made so many friends and this club has opened so many doors for me.”
Jackson Bennett said, “I think it is important to always try your best in school and possibly be a part of a sports team. Doing my homework and studying helped me get through high school.”
Senior Madison Schiliro said, “The biggest advice I could give to underclassman is to stay out of drama. I think it is best to not care what other people think of you and just to live your life, high school is not as short as you think so take advantage of it.”
Senior Zach Putter agreed with Schiliro’s statement.
“I believe you should not worry about what other people think of you and your actions. People will hate on you no matter what you do so you should do what makes you happy. There is always going to be someone who will judge you but live your life to the fullest,” Putter said.
