free soccer picture.jpeg(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The LRHS Boys’ varsity soccer team is looking to finish up their regular season against Wiregrass High School, currently ranked 17th in the nation.

The Mustangs have a record of 16-1-3 and are looking to get their 17th win tomorrow. The team is looking to end their regular season on a high note. This game will also prepare the team for playoffs, which will take place next week.

The Mustangs already have a bye for the first round of district playoffs, which automatically puts them in the semifinals. The team still isn’t quite sure who they will play next week in the semifinal, though that should be known by the end of this week.

The team is very confident for tomorrow’s game and for next week’s matchup as well. Junior Timothy Sheredy is confident for the playoffs and is ready to close off the regular season with a strong win.

“The team has had a great season so far as well as myself and I believe we can get a good win tomorrow and I have great confidence that the team will succeed in districts,” said Sheredy.

Junior Reid Zimmerman also has high hopes for tomorrow night and this second half of the season going into playoff mode.

“Wiregrass is a very good team with a good record like us, but I believe we can get a good win tomorrow which would be huge for us in our road to states,” said Zimmerman. “As for districts, I am not quite sure who we’ll play but I have great confidence that will dominate like we have so many other games this season.”
