sadd-logo(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) is promoting a new agenda hoping to get students off their phones…at least in the car.

LRHS digital Information technology teacher and adviser of SADD Sharelies Rodriguez is leading the “Text Less Live More” movement.

“The goal is to keep students and teen’s eyes out of their electronic devices while driving,” said Rodriguez.

SADD wants to spread the word on interaction between Mustangs physically rather than online.

A club meeting took place on Tuesday Jan. 21 and included participation from 20 students.

“More activities are planned to get pledges from students to keep their eyes on the road when behind the wheel,” continued Rodriguez.

For more information on SADD and their new agenda contact Rodriguez in room 542.
