Steve Shamblen brings experience to the classroom.

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Steven Shamblen is a new LRHS College Readiness and Geometry teacher.

Shamblen has always been a teacher, but his is in his fourth-year teaching in Florida.  He has taught in other states, such as North Carolina and Ohio previously.

Shamblen left retirement to begin teaching at LRHS.

“This is my 34th year teaching, it’s all I’ve ever wanted to do,” he said.

Sophomore Jennifer Cotton said, “Mr. Shamblen has changed my learning experience by providing a different perspective to everyday math.”

“The notes we take are very useful, and instead of having to do math at home that may be hard to understand, we go through the problems step by step in the classroom, and are able to ask questions about the lesson,” Cotton continued.

Shamblen offers tutoring for his students before and after school in room 903.
