lacrosse fundraiser.jpg(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – It’s been almost three years since lacrosse was introduced at LRHS, and this year they hope to expand and branch out to new players by adding a Junior Varsity team to the boys’ and girls’ programs.

This past Monday, girls’ coach Samantha Stoltz and boys’ coach Jason Morales hosted a fundraising meeting where parents and interested athletes could learn more about the growing sport.

Throughout the annual meeting, the coaches explained the basics and importance of upcoming fundraisers.

This Saturday, Dec. 14 the teams will be hosting a carwash at Ace Hardware store on 64 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. and will also be hosting a golf tournament at Casa Di Pizza in the spring.

Although the start of the season is still over a month away, the meeting posed as an excited reminder of hopes for the new season.

“I’m very happy with the turnout, every year we continue to grow, and this meeting really showed that,” said Stoltz.
