College Fair Flyer 2019(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – This Wednesday, Dec. 11, the Boys and Girls Club of Manatee County is hosting a college fair for high school students.

There will be over 20 universities in attendance to guide parents and students on the admission process and what to expect once students are admitted. Along with the universities several military branches will be represented.

Assistant district director of career and technical education Kelli Kennedy said, “This fair is a great thing for students to get exposed to all of the opportunities that they may have never been exposed to prior. A lot of kids have no idea what is out there, and the college fair can help educate the students on what opportunities they have.”

The college fair helps students realize what they want to do in the future, where they want to go, and what colleges they have chances of getting into. It is a very useful tool to utilize and Kennedy said seniors especially are encouraged to attend.

The fair will take place from 5-8 p.m. and is free to all students and families. There will be free snacks, hot dogs and hamburgers. The event will be held at the Palmetto Club on 1600 10th St. West.
