(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The LRHS Orchestra program hosted its annual fall concert on Thursday, Nov. 21 in the auditorium to showcase for the first time this year the work of all orchestra students.

The fall concert featured performances from students of all grade levels in Symphonic Orchestra, Concert Orchestra and the Lakewood Camerata honors orchestra.

This concert was a showcase of songs that each group has been studying and practicing in class through the first semester.

“It’s the season opener to show the parents what we’ve been working on so far, and it’s a taste of what’s to come in the future for the ensembles,” said orchestra teacher Daniel Shafer.

The concert was a success, and every ensemble received positive feedback from orchestra students’ parents and friends.

“I like to have every concert show continued growth as well as musical expression,” said Shafer.

Orchestra students have more events to look forward to. The LRHS Camerata Orchestra will perform again on Tuesday, Dec. 10 in the auditorium in the LRHS Chorus Concert.
