The team placed fifth of eight at the 4A Region 2 meet in Winter Haven, and third out of 17 during districts.

“I’m really excited about the race, and I feel really good ab the team and ending the season on a good note,” said sophomore Jessica Neal.

Although they’ve never won states, the Mustang girls have been finalists 10 times, two of which they placed runner up (in 2009 and again in 2010).

Running alongside Neal will be freshman Tamlyn Leatt; Sophomore Aurora Melzer; Juniors Emma Paliotta, Sydney Granack, and Riley Bradshaw; and Senior Mason Ingallinera.
