LRHS Key Club expects busy November

key club logo(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The LRHS Key Club is giving back to the community this month, working with ten different organizations.  

Fit for Life 5K: Sat, Nov. 9 from 7 a.m..- 12 p.m. at Downtown Bradenton, 1005 Ave W, Bradenton. Volunteers will work water stations and post-race cleanup as well as handing out medals at the finish line.

Miracle League: Saturday Nov. 9 and Nov. 16 from 7:30 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. at 6050 Longwood Run Blvd, Sarasota. Volunteers will buddy up with the baseball players and assist at the games.

Lido Beach Clean-up: Saturday Nov. 9 from 8 a.m.- 12 p.m. at 2201 Benjamin Franklin Dr, Sarasota. Key Club will be working with Showing Unconditional Goodwill And Respect (SUGAR) volunteers to help clean up lido beach. Hours will go towards the governor’s project to help improve our environment.

Making Strides Walk: Sunday Nov. 10 from 6:30 a.m.- 1:30 a.m. at Nathen Benderson Park, Sarasota. Volunteers will help at the registration check in.

Mind full Triathlon: Thursday Nov. 14 from 3-7 p.m. at University Town Center Dr space 110, Sarasota. Volunteers will help fill and hand out information packets for runners participating in the race as well as hand out the paperwork, check in volunteers, and help hand out shirts and bags.

Americans Recycle: Saturday Nov. 16 from 7:30-10:30 a.m. at 8750 Bee Ridge Rd, Sarasota. Volunteers will set up linens and chairs according to floor plan; set up craft and award tables; set up Activity areas; set up art tables with labels and direct students and parents; help early guests with crafts and activities.

Healthy Kids Running: Sunday Nov. 17 from 3- 6 p.m. at Urfer Family Park, Honore Ave, Sarasota. Volunteers will set up and take down kid’s race and help wherever it is needed.

Making Blankets: Sunday Nov. 17 from 6-8 p.m. at Our Lady of the Angels, 12905 E State Rd 70, Lakewood Ranch. Volunteers will help make and sort blankets.

Braden River PTO Childcare: Thursday Nov. 21 from 5:45-8 p.m. at Braden River Elementary, 6125 River Club Blvd, Bradenton. Volunteers will watch kids in the school cafeteria while parents attend the PTO meeting.

Turkey Trot: Saturday Nov. 23 from 6:30-10 a.m. at Lakewood Ranch Main Street and Thu, Nov. 28 from 7:30-1:30 a.m. at Nathan Benderson Park, Sarasota. Volunteers will help with kids’ races, handing out water, helping with registration, and serving food.
