Lambert and Schutte nominated for Excellence in Education

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The 2019-20 Excellence in Education Awards Representatives for LRHS  are band director Ron Lambert, nominated for Educator of the Year, and Mini-Mustangss voluntary Pre-K teacher assistant Catherine Schutte, nominated for Support Employee of the Year. 

The Excellence in Education Awards celebrate educators who ensure students receive the best education possible.

LRHS Principal Dustin Dahlquist supports both candidates as they advance to the next level of competion, to determine the district’s best.

“Both will represent our school very well in moving forward to the next round.  We wish them the best of luck,” he said.

To be nominated for the Educator of the year award teachers must demonstrate a superior ability to foster excellence in education and contribute to the continuous improvement of student learning and the school environment.

Support employees can include people in positions ranging from teacher assistants to mechanics to school nurses, and many more.

“Being nominated for this award was a complete surprise,” said Schutte. “It is such an honor to be nominated because of a job that I love so much.”

Lambert was unavailable for comment due to being out of town.
