Gracie Coyne and Maddie Forman – Mustangs Ahead
(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – This week “Mustangs Ahead” asked LRHS students, “What is your favorite holiday?”
With Halloween right around the corner, some LRHS students told us why that is their favorite.
Sophomore Naya Weiner said, “Halloween is my favorite holiday because you’re able to dress up however you want and express yourself.”
Senior Grant Shuneman agreed with Weiner.
“I love Halloween because you’re able to dress up and have fun with it. One of my favorite parts about Halloween is getting candy and seeing what everyone else has dressed up as,” said Shuneman.
During the Christmas holidays many people exchange gifts. It is all about giving back to others.
Freshman Hayley Pollard stated, “My favorite holiday is Christmas because of all the lights and decorations. I look forward every year to seeing the lights at University Town Center (UTC).”
“Christmas is my favorite holiday,” said sophomore Daniel Broske. “I enjoy spending time with family and opening presents on Christmas morning.”
Sophomore Katie Ross said, “Christmas is my favorite holiday because I love the atmosphere and scenery. Also, everyone seems to be in a happier mood. I love driving around seeing all the decorations and lights up too.”
Another huge hit with the students of LRHS is Thanksgiving.
Senior Jack Brown stated, “My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving because I am surrounded by my family and food. I am happy when I am with all my loved ones and we are able to appreciate what we have.”
