NEWS(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- Last Friday, Lakewood Ranch’s annual Boo Fest took place.

Boo Fest is a Halloween themed event that occurs every year on Lakewood Ranch’s Main Street.

Featuring live music, face painting, trick or treating, and more, Boo Fest aims to lift the spirits of community members of all ages.

LRHS student volunteer junior Lauren Beck said, “It was rewarding seeing the joy on everyone’s faces beyond just the kids.”

A multitude of local businesses and some of LRHS clubs, such as Key Club and Students for Safety, participated in distributing candy to eager trick-or-treaters.

Senior Kaylee Eckelman has been an LRHS Key Club member for two years and loves participating in the event.

“This is my second-year volunteering at Boo Fest,” said Eckelman. “I always enjoy watching the community come together for a night of fun.”
